Rancho Fiasco Fergie
I try to limit this blog to working stories but it is so rare that a terrier does this well and is so well thought of by a large number of judges at terrier trials
that I needed to post this.
Fergie is a pup out of a really nice little Russell bitch we have named Static. She is also a littermate to the little terrier here named Ripley.
Fergie was Best 4 to 6 month old puppy at both Arctic Blast Trials last year in Wisconsin. She was Puppy Conformation Champion at both of the Piney Woods Trials in Texas under Gaye Redpath and Stephanie Taylor and she was Puppy Conformation Champion again last weekend in both the SWJRTN Jack Roundup l and ll under Desi Mackin and Elizabeth Gleason. In Arizona a few weeks ago she was Reserve Puppy Champion under John Broadhurst. Barry Wade looked at her but did not like her that well but ironically enough, she was Puppy Conformation Champion again at both of the HWJRTC Sunflower Classic Trials and won the Barry Wade Perpetual Trophy. She was 4th in the 4 to 6 class last year at the JRTCA National Trial and anytime you can get a ribbon in that large a trial, you have done well. She was Puppy Conformation Champion at the recent Mason-Dixon Ice Breaker which was her last showing as a puppy as she turned a year old on May 1. Her personality is just terrific. She loves everyone and has shown herself to be a game little terrier. We will start hunting her late summer and fall. What a pleasure she is to have around.

The relationship between man and dog especially when hunting is deeper than most human friendships a man will have.
